I love that distinction too. ❤️ I think we all need somewhere to process the hard stuff (rather than stuff it down or ignore it). For me, the difference is whether it helps us move through it or keeps us stuck in it. A good vent can be incredibly healthy! Living in a constant state of complaint is something else entirely.
Thank you. ❤️ One of the reasons I mentioned him in the article is because he's genuinely one of the least complaining people I know. Watching the way he's accepted the cards life has dealt him and continues to make the very best of his life has taught me more than I could ever hope to teach him. xx
Enjoyed reading uour perspective. We were hit with many medical hurdles over the past 6 years, in what feels like a cursed loop. Its how you deal with the complaint for me. If its something worth complaining about, choose to do something so thay you can complete that cycle and finally move on. After years of medical frustation, we were finally hit hard enough that Im done. So rather than just complaining to everyone we chose to make a complaint against the doctor to stand up for what is right and how children and adults should be taken seriously and listened to. Its a process, but it feels like we have made the right decision, one that has helped me let this go a little bit more and not simmer in the anger.
Thank you for sharing this. ❤️ I really like what you said about completing the cycle. Sometimes the healthiest thing we can do isn't to keep complaining, but to take whatever constructive action is within our control so we can finally begin to let it go. Wishing you all the very best with the process and much hugs xx 🫶🏻
Love the reframe with your questions. Going to put them in my back pocket. Thanks for sharing :)
Ah Im so glad it resonated with you xx
This is why I love the term Kvetching.
Things get hard. There are rough patches. Life is meant to throw lemons at you, otherwise is it really worth living?
So you kvetch. You get the negative thing out of your system, and into the void. Then you move on ❤️

Your son is admirable as well! To truly accept his life witj limitations and make the best of it for him, is beautiful!
